How it all started...
New Hope Church was a group of families that started gathering in people's homes in November of 1978. As they grew they started to meet at various other locations such as the Grange in Green, OR. Eventually, the time came to build their own building and in 1990 the church with the blue roof was built.
The name New Hope Church is a reference to the New Testament as God was and still is always doing new things. As Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans .... to give you a future and a hope."

Expanding the vision...
We are currently going through a time of revival and rejuvenation, to more effectively live out our mission of "...existing to love and glorify God by making disciples of Jesus." A major part of this is improving how we can effectively reach out to our local community in Douglas County, OR. This starts at our church building as various community groups meet in our facility every week. As a result, our Property Enhancement Committee is praying, envisioning, fundraising, and improving all parts of our building to more effectively live out our Mission Statement.
Where we are headed...
As a church, we are currently undergoing a season of renewal. In other words, we are intentionally seeking to align our ministry efforts more closely with our church mission which is, “We exist to love and glorify God by making disciples of Jesus.” We ultimately want to be and do what the Bible says a church should be and do. We would be delighted to have you be a part of this exciting season. Our renewal plan consists of these four initiatives:
1. Become increasingly outward-focused.
2. Strengthen our mission.
3. Become thoroughly multi-generational.
4. Communicate with simplicity and clarity.
